i dislike bathrooms with 2 doors so much i say no. a shower the size of the tubs footprint would be nice tho.

It' your own personal taste. Having a master bath that opens into a dressing room or a nursery sounds like a good thing. If the second bedroom is going to be a dressing room, make it a closet/dressing room. If this is where you will be long long term shouldn't be a problem. If you see yourself selling in the next 5 years you need to think on this. Will you still have sufficient bedrooms for your area once it's converted? Most people want there master bath private, they don't want to share with guest or family.

Is it fair to assume this is the only bathroom in the home? If so, consider installing pocket doors instead of swing doors so there is more usable space. And yes, convert the bathtub to a shower only. If it's not the only bathroom, I'd still put in a pocket door, but forego the second door. You need all the wall space you can get to make sure the bath doesn't feel too cramped.

ah ok, dressing room. the reason i dont like 2 doors to a bathroom is that it has a wealth of possibilities, most bad or awkward. if its only the 2 of you that's different.

is it not possible to put the connecting door between the bedroom and dressing room? or do they not share a wall?
