Matching new hardwoods to old

We have hardwood floors in the kitchen and dining room of our house that was built in 1927, and are planning on continuing the floors into the currently carpeted living room. I believe the floors we have are red oak, but I'd like to confirm that before we purchase the new wood.
We are located in White Plains, New York if that helps at all. Thanks!
