My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Outdoor cabana

David,

Just completing our cabana in burlington and we are looking at doing one feature wall with a wood product to warm up the space as its predominantly stone. Is this t&g cedar you've used here? What other material would you recommend?

    Actually, the wood used on the exterior home and cabana is Douglas Fir. We used this because of its tight, straight-grained nature of the wood and light colour - this reinforced the horizontal nature of the design.

    Thank you for your reply, I looked online at some close ups for Douglas Fir....it appears to be knotty?
    I have actually worked on a project with you in the past (can't remember the name...)as I am a mechanical contractor in the Halton area. You have some impressive designs!!
