Your parrot would look good above the dining table with a different color background, perhaps black! But make the black a vertical stripe only the width of the table. You need the white (?) wall to lighten the surrounding area. It's too small for the bedroom wall. It's biggest impact will be above the dining table.

Love the picture....Hang it above the table. You then make colors pop by using table clothes, placements. and even colored plates (all without much cost). anywhere you hang it. enjoy :)

I love Carolyn's idea and understand your issue with not being able to paint. But, you could paint foam board, canvas, drop cloth, or even get a piece of black vinyl that size to hang behind your picture from floor to ceiling. The drama would be amazing! I think it's definitely an idea worth exploring.

i don't think you need to paint any walls or hang any foam or drape anything...

if you hang it there over the table, which would look very nice, i would consider collecting MORE pieces and creating a nice gallery wall. you could achieve the same thing in your bedroom but i agree the picture is fun over your table. i really like your acrylic chairs. don't go messin' with time consuming paint jobs if you don't feel up to all that....... just buy up pieces you like and work on that gallery wall! :) there are oodles of tutorials on how to hang stuff salon style (kinda willy nilly but not).

I go with hanging it on a black drape or canvas runner behind the table, or maybe better, behind the bed. Maybe add a couple of stylish clip-on lamps, one on each side of your headboard. I saw beautiful spherical ones - I think from Land of Nod? I wouldn't go with making a whole collection of framed things to try to make your bird (Parrot? Cockatoo?) look like more. Your apartment is beautifully simple. Once you have visual clutter in one place, the rest will not look serene, it will look bare in contrast to the busy part. Blake, or perhaps dark gray, looks like it might coordinate with the blinds in bedroom.

I like the idea of the black drape too. My son in law just decorated his ceiling with black landscaping fabric! Looks great! You might buy a small roll and tack to the wall behind your beautiful parrot. Love the print! My apartment is tiny too. It's taken time but I'm really coming around to loving it. :-)

Think about what the bird will be looking at.

love the parrot print !!!!!!!!! Anywhere you hang it would be great if the accent colors around it are lime green, black or fushia to bring out the colors and make them pop ! Use some live green plants, large like palms, peace plants or ferns. Use a throw in black or green. Some colorful throw pillows in fushia and lime green too ! Collect some additional gilee prints with a tropical vibe in different greens, fushia and with black backgrounds....try painting your own and be creative this weekend !!!!!

I love it and think it would be ideal over the kitchen table. I would bring in more color with a table cloth or runner. Maybe something with a bold stipe to accent the colors in the picture. Of course your table wear could add pops of color too. It could be fun to add a chair or two with colors in the painting as well.

I like it over the table. Hang it off to one side and add two floating shelves (one above the other) to the side of it. It would be fun to find items for the shelves such as candles, plants, dishes or colorful serving pieces. Target is a good place for budget friendly accessories that you can change out later if you like a different look. Have fun and shop on!

I like it in the living room because the "checkered" border echoes so well the geometrics in the sofa throw pillows.

I like it in the second photo. The size is good there. Later, as you acquire new pieces, you can move it and do a gallery wall. Add some pink and yellow throw pillows on that sofa. Or add a colorful throw. Next, do a rug.

The dining area is calling for something on the wall. But keep it simple and clean like your other decor. Don't try to contrive something strange.

You might try moving the bedside table away from the bed about 5 or so inches and hang Mr. Parrot very low over the table. Add a lamp. Something like this.

Walls behind table & bed are too large & light for the (strong color) of picture! (From LR) wall over chair is perfect & speaks to the sofa pillows-I'd like a dash of the pink/red (?) Color of background used somewhere in LR but not in a too "obvious" way-so it won't look too matchie-matchie! Personally I prefer big Art & would love pieces of about the same width as the table & bed hung over each, I Love your cute apartment! it looks monochromatic and feels restful. I would put something in shades of white over one & find something with color for the other.

I don't think the picture makes a wow statement alone...it needs something else to compliment it. Maybe you can find a bird type wooden wall piece...similar to a medicine cabinet but shaped like a vintage birdcage with doors and then when you open it...the picture would be in the center.

Both coloring and shape work best above the chair with the black and white border echoing the cushions. Have fun.

When you hang it in the living room I'm afraid the a/c unit detracts from the art and all I can see then is the appliance. I like either the dining room or bedroom, but it's such a fun piece I think you should hang it where you will see it often. Maybe try to find 2 placemats in the background color to include the table in with the art.

Sorry, just saw this and wondered if you could rotate your dining table 90 degrees and then it would fit beautifully. However, I'm sure you picked a great place for it. Are you posting a photo?

I think the picture wold look very good above the bed and complimented with other pink accessories
