Floor layout is challenging for wood-look porcelain tile rectangles.

Looking for advice/ideas on layout for 6X18 Crossville wood-look tiles. Our floor space goes in three directions (2-way entry hall merged w/living room). Seems like the tiles can go all the same direction throughout or change directions, with or w/o borders, or be in a design such as a parquet style.
