First harvest from my first fig tree

I made the post the first time, but it didn't seem to post correctly, so here goes again...

Thank you all (the gardenweb community) for the helpful information and tips, I've felt encouraged to add a fig tree to my garden and happy to report back some good results :)

Here's a quick shot of the baby figs of my main crop. They are about the size of my thumb. We just moved to a new house little more than a year now, so all of my trees are still rather young, so that means they provide me a bundle of that first year harvest excitement/happiness :)

Yes, Black Mission. It's a younger tree too, < 1yr old. I have a couple fruits that dried on the tree (I think it lacks water for about a week), but then I corrected the problem and was able to get big ripe fruits again.

What i thought as the leaves look similar to one i used to have from Monrovia .
Your main crop should taste better than the breba crop you show.

It took a couple months to flash out new leaves and buds, but started having baby fruits again for the last 2 weeks. Martin, you are right, there seem more fruits on the tree for this crop, 4-5 each shoot.
