What is "cleaning" vinegar? Is it different that common white vinegar?

Looks like "cleaning" vinegar is slightly more acidic (6%) than common white vinegar (5%). I had never heard of it, learn something new every day!

Professional window washers use squeegees and window brushes because they work. They're also not very expensive and available at home centers. If you have a really dirty window, they'll make quick work of getting rid of the grime. It takes a little practice to use the squeegee effectively but you can get pretty close to perfect with the squeegee and then just touch up with a towel and squirt bottle.

Squeegee, be sure to dry the blade after each swipe. Keep an old t-shirt or similar tucked in your belt or waistband when up on the ladder.

Last month one of my friend got his home windows cleaned by the professionals, he located them online and they did a great job. He also referred them to me but I think I will try the vinegar act first.

Regular vinegar probably does the job just fine. But I figured I'd try the cleaning vinegar. I just used a sponge, poured a bit of vinegar on it and squeezed out, wiped down the windows. then wiped dry with paper towels, followed by a wipe down with a microfiber cloth. My sister told me she uses a microfiber cloth on her windows to prevent streaking. I did that and it worked well. The window washer at work also told me use newspapers wot wipe the windows, they won't leave streaks or lint as paper towels can.

Our window cleaner uses dishwashing liquid in water and said he puts a little ammonia in if they are really dirty and then squeegee. Our windows are so high up we have to have someone come and do it. It's expensive but so necessary.

I also use dishwashing liquid . I wipe with a wet soapy rag and wipe it off with clean dry rag. No rinsing needed. No streaks. I do this on my mirrors, too. It's especially good at removing hairspray from counters.
