It's 5-1-1 and natural so it's just harder to over fertilize. And that's what the brand name Alaska Fish Fertilizer. It's popular as one of the stores I went to didn't have any more in stock

I will get the 1 gallon jug for under $15 @ HD

HD has Alaska for $13.48 a gallon here. A gallon would probably last me for several years. Very good stuff but smells horrible.

I've been using a few drops with every watering. It does not burn.

Obviously , as far as the NPK is concerned , it is very dilute. What other essential elements ( microbes, enzymes ?) doe it have ?

Says its "Derived from Seagoing Fish Emulsion".

Makes me wonder why I quit using this stuff. On the Home Depot comments on this product it's all positive except for the smell.

It does not burn because the nutrients are released slower and more natural compared to synthetics. Lots of micro stuff in there too.

I read somewhere that Neptune's Harvest (2-3-1) is better than Alaska (5-1-1).

I use Big Bloom (FoxFarm) [0.01-0.3-0.7] and it works for me.
