The Shower was built for a healthy young couple who would be able to operate this transom window, however, they don't operate it at all. Alternatively, there could be also just an opening. ☺ It has no essential function and the shower would also work without it. It was added as an option but could, if liked or necessary be operated by a chain or even a little motor.
