My husband and I are remodeling our first home, and are total novices to the process! We ordered beautiful smokey gray cabinets for our kitchen and wanted to find a distinctive contrasting countertop. After looking at lots of quartz and granite samples we discovered quartzite. We loved the look of Taj Mahal but it (and many others like it) were out of our budget. We finally found a set of Symphony quartzite slabs that drew us both in. Unlike other Symphonies that we'd seen, this one didn't have the widespread red tinges (though it does have lovely burgundy veins). It has the intriguing palette of a mist colored mountainside. There is movement and variation to it, but not to a dizzying degree. We love it, but it's been hard to find pictures of it in use. Does anyone out there have Symphony quartzite countertops they can share images of?
