Sorry, I left off some details. Blocks should finish at 6 inches, so 6.5 unfinished. If you want to leave them larger that is fine, just so I can trim to 6.5 before sewing. The leaves can be any color, just so there is contrast with the background.

Jackie, they can be either. If we have lots I may make one appliqued and one pieced.

Mary, what a pretty leaf block. The color and shape make it look like a cottonwood leaf or maybe a big-toothed aspen. Really nice. May I ask where you found the pattern?

This is what you do at 4:30 am when you can't sleep, search the web.
