Rug shopping- need help!

We are moving into a new house and leaving our carpeted apartment behind, but now I need a rug! I have a baby who is just starting to walk and who will be playing in the living room, so I need it to be comfortable for her. Many of the neutral ones I'm finding seem pretty rough or too modern for my taste. I'm attaching a picture of our couch. I can't figure out how to attach a second picture here but the new living room floors are oak hardwood. Oh and we aren't keeping the coffee table- it'll just be open. Thanks so much for any help!

My favorite is an all over design faux-Persian-type. Soft and indestructible + will show no stains. The come in various brown tones to enhance your sectional. I'd pull colors from the rug for the throw pillows.

Whatever you get, make sure it will slip entirely under the chaise portion and under 1/3 of the other portion. It should extend 12-18" past the sides of the sofa. You could also have a regular carpet cut and bound for your room. Measure and allow 2 feet of floor all around the rug, depending on the room layout and any protruding items like a fireplace.

Pretty room! How about a chenille braided rug? Here is one at LLBean. I think the style would work well with your decor. The chenille is super soft so it would be a great cushion for your sweetie pie. Good luck with the new home!
