You don't need a sideboard. But you do need a chandelier, and when you hang it, it needs to be lower than the current one and centered over the table.

But mostly I want to compliment you on the kids' photos. You chose great, compelling shots, and blew them up, so they really qualify as art. Kudos to you!

I'm concerned about the centering of the table under the light as I'm guessing you don't want to spend the money to have an electrician move that electrical box and figure out the drywall repair. Can the table move under the light? Somehow, the table needs to be centered under the light or it will look odd. And, yes, the new one hung lower. I actually don't hate the current one if it could be lowered.
