Any ideas for our powder room..

Does anyone have any ideas?? Our powder room feels very empty and boring! Would like to fill up some of the space. Thank you.

Placing a soft fold roman shade on the window is one way to warm up this space. Below are some other options.

In the first photo I love the flowers on the wall but not the window treatment. Both the first and second photos show the impact made by bold color on the walls.
Tiling a single wall works wonders in photo 3. You get the double whammy in photo 4 with sensational lighting and striking wallpaper.

There are so many ways to create excitement in this small space and you have a captive audience. Amuse or delight them. Show them color, show them art, show them your creativity!

Powder rooms are usually a good excuse to really let your hair down, design wise..... a striking wallpaper, upgrade the mirror, upgrade the lighting to an interesting pendant light, and you can do something really fancy on the windows.....depending on your style...some sort of shade or valance, in a striking fabric, perhaps with trim..... roman shade, london shade, balloon shade...etc.

I wish my half bath was as big as yours! =D

Artwork, a cool trash can, maybe a large (but not too ginormous) vase in the corner with some of those decorative twiggy things i love (highly technical terms flying around over here, LOL!). Lowe's has really nice art and bathroom accessories. Are you in love with the paint color? Or the mirror? We had one mirror in the upstairs bathroom that ran the length of the wall above the double sinks. We took it down (gosh, was it heavy!!) and replaced it with two smaller cute ones...from Lowe's. What's your lighting situation?

Lose the flat mirror plate and replace with a framed mirror and wall sconces. A ladder type shelf to hold towels, plants , shells,to go against that empty wall. Simple ivory lined drapes hanging to floor from curtain rod above the toilet . Nice area rug with oriental patter ( not a bath may).

You could add a tall plant in the corner next to the toilet.

Pick up vintage magazines second hand,mat and frame some of the ads and take a "seat" for some bathroom reading. Add a magazine holder for longer "sessions!"

I agree I think a Roman Shade would really look amazing. I would recommend going with a punch of color to really spice it up a bit.

Adding a patterened wall paper will help fill up the space.
Here are some great options, if you feel like adding a punch of colour for a feature wall behind the vanity, or something more subtle to do the whole room in.

Change out as much as that beige in there. It looks too " Prison Industrial" at this point! Sorry! Definitely need to go the complete opposite direction...glam.... posh, sparkly. That countertop is unusual and does nothing to high light the sink which I almost confused with a Urinal. Everyone- let's help turn this around ASAP. It has to be the saddest Powder room I have ever seen.

I think the room is in desperate need of some warming up!
That can be achieved by paint and paper as has been previously suggested. That would help soften the long rectangle look that the room now has.
I would also consider putting a warm wood shelf/bookcase in the area next to the sink. It would open up storage and display space for you for colorful accessories and lush plants.

I agree that you could have a lot of fun with colors. You could also refinish the cabinets to possitlbly give them more pizaz. Some wood veneer with different colors could be a defferent route.

To the floor drapes around the toilet are not hygienic. Roman shade would be better or even shutters.
Around front corner book shelf just under the height of the window painted a bright color could be cheap enough to start with. Check the thrift stores.

Depending on your budget and DIY skills you can paint or add wall paper (grass cloth wallpaper looks really chic).. Adding some floating shelves and folded towels on them. Definitely get rid of the beige paint. Framing the mirror (see my 'DIY bathroom mirror'design dilemma if your budget is limited to see if you like it). good luck! And adding some nice rugs def helps!
