Would shutters the same as the house color be okay?

I posted here a few months ago about black shutters but now that the house is done, I don't think I want to go in that direction. The shutters went up yesterday and need to be painted. Would it look okay to use the same as the house color (SW Wool Skein) but have the paint made at 150% for a bit of contrast? I don't want to go too dark on them. The trim color is clay (see pic with it next to Wool Skein) but I'm not a huge fan of it so I don't want to do shutters that color. I had the door painted SW Tricorn Black and it doesn't look as good as I thought it would (I prefer neutral colors). . I am just struggling to have it all come together :( It's a dreary day so hopefully you can see the colors okay. Thank you!

Match the roof color or up to 50% of the roof color. I agree with you the front door is too dark.

Ever thought about adding more wood to ground the house and stain it darker as well,along with garage doors? I think some wood at the top wood look good too near the pitch over the far right and left windows and porch maybe

After living in Italy for the last 10 years,shutters actually serve a purpose. The contrast is beautiful and when they are functional they serve the purpose of protecting against the elements.

But to add to that, I think the shutters, window frames, doors should be all the same color. IMHO

HI - Yes houses where the shutters and the whole house are the same color is being done now but it depends on the house style . Usually the windows are black and the front door has it's own color and the rest is all one . The shutters and any details is just shown as texture. But looking at your house ... I really like the shutters being the natural un - stained un- painted as they are now . It looks very custom and classy rustic . Maybe don't paint them at all . Just seal them with a clear finish . The house looks very French Country . Beautiful !
