Kitchen backsplash

Have dark cherry wood cabinets and floors (with black was overlay) and dark Quartz countertop and on island. We did not build this home but have painted ceiling, trim, doors white and put in stainless Steele appliances, and solar tube. Rather than replace Quartz looking at ways to brighten up with change in backsplash...any ideas?

I'd be afraid of just making it look worse. Wait until you can afford to replace it.

In the meantime try putting some plates on stands to break up the expanse of quartz. This is sort of what I had in mind. Move attention away from the background by using interest in front. Maybe 3 or 5 plates. These are also good for disguising electrical plugs.
