Bachmans on Lyndale

I got a great Autumn serviceberry at Bachmans in Apple Valley last fall. It looks wonderful so far this Spring. Gertens has great quality too. Pahl's is nice, but seems expensive. My kids love to jump in their corn pit.

I don't know if Dundee in Plymouth carry those varieties but they have a large area of trees for sale.

Neither Gertens nor Bachmans has replaced Linders for me... Bachmans does have great customer service at least. I have been completely unable to find a Linders replacement. Still sad too and right there with you.

Has anyone been to the nursery in Northfield? knecht's? They have a really nice website and looked very nice when we drove past it.

Linders isn't the only nursery missing this spring, although it was certainly the largest. Bad spring for nursery suppliers. There are at least 3 smaller ones just in south Minneapolis that did not open this spring or bring in any nursery stock at all, at least two are now nothing more than empty lots.

Contact the Landscape Arboretum. They carry lists of licensed Minnesota nurseries and may be able to point you in the right directions.

Back when I did landscaping, I occasionally dealt with Minnesota Valley Garden Centers out south of Shakopee on 169. That is the one I remember now after nearly thirty years. I have also been impressed with Minnhaha Falls Nursery, but it is real late for their season now. You might contact both of these to see if they might be able to supply you through their landscaping services.

You might also check with Baileys. They only sell wholesale but they might be able to point you to a retail source, I am assuming retail is what you are looking for. Baileys is a giant and pretty much offers anything woody that can be grown in this area, but like I said they are wholesale only and would probably not have anything relevant left this late in the season anyway (also they are mostly bare root - IIRC).
