This is my first re-model project completely designed by me. I am not a designer at all, but I collected a lot of inspiration from Houzz (so greatful for that!). We hired a contractor to do the work for us, but the design I did all by myself.

What I learned in this process is that it is very important to make a drawing of your remodel, giving specific instructions on where and how you want things aligned. It is not always obvious for the contractor that things need to be symetrical and aligned! So currently we have a few things misaligned but they are not noticable to the eye of a stranger, only if you study the after results carefully.

I like the contemporary styles a lot. Please let me know what you think!
