Yikes!! I'm not sure where you live, but if it were me, if get them out of the ground and into excellent draining, very sandy, soil. I've never seen such discoloration. You need to put them into a situation where you totally control the water. I'd also do a systemic insecticide. Bayer makes a 2-in-1 for roses.

They are actually generally dry where they are (the over watering came from two people in the house both watering them, without realizing the other was as well). But I will pull them out and pot them up because it does allow me to control things more.

Would you recommend soaking them in anything before replanting and applying the insecticide?

I generally soak in a systemic fungicide, but we really need to figure out what the massive discoloration is due to.

With the bed of bulbs the ones on the far left are the most red and have had the most trouble with the mealy bugs. The ones on the right have fewer mealy bug problems and also less discoloration. So there seems to be a connection whether it is the mealy bugs that are directly causing it or because they introduced something.

I did take pictures about a month ago when I first started dealing with the issue.

There were still some spots then, but they were not as red.
