I'm watching it too, gardenbear. I've been toying with the idea of mason bees for awhile now. Was it you who posted on another thread about not seeing as many bees in your garden?

Dee, I did post about not seeing many bees in garden, I talked to a another garden in my neighborhood and she said the same thing over the last 5 or 6 years there have been less bees in her gardens and that her fruit tree are not producing as much any more. I think that I'm going to look into getting some Mason bees and give it a try.

I just posted on the bee forum about Mason bees. My front and back lawns are 75% white clover and its in bloom, I found the Mason bees all over the blooms, so I ordered a house and some tubes, now all the have to do is move in. So life just got a little better, it doesn't take much to make me happy when it comes to my gardens.

I thought this pollinator open house might be of interest to bee enthusiasts, particularly the photo of the bee hotel.
