Yes, he bought many quality orchids from the USA and elsewhere and used them as base in a breeding program which produced great results. There are 142 registered hybrids where the first part of the grex name is Dal's.

I only grow mini and compact Catts. SVO is my favorite place to order from but the place in S. Carolina, Marble Beach, has excellent mini and compact catts too.

I just found out that I have this beautiful orchid in my collection of orchids that I purchased from SVO. Of course I realize that mine may be a different color since these plants are seedlings. Mine doesn't have any buds but the new growth has a sheath. Whenever mine blooms I'll definitely post a pic.
