foo foo as to appearance

not foo foo as to hardiness ....

i never realized there were layers of foo ...

Good to see some present day photos.

What? No garish, eye-wrenching blue? A long time ago, many P. pungens were actually just slightly blueish-green instead of the modern, faddish eye-assaulting blue.

Wow Ken, you have quite collection of the large foo foo's. What a cool fireworks show that must be.

From the photos 'Spring Yellow' looks to be the most blue out of the bunch. I dig the eye-assaulting blue but the contrast of the bright new growth is probably better looking against the green.

we discussed this one .... SY a week or so ago ... many thinking it was.. sp??? ...bioblak .. or some such ... can anyone link us to that post... the name of the post is excaping me.. and i am being lazy ....

it might be the bluest.. but it also is the very shortest show ... barely a few days.. if temps get into the 80s at bud out ...

That's my biggest issue is warm spring temps. We've been cooler and wetter this year than we've been in years, but I still didn't get to see hardly any color changes this spring. It's been 4 years since my Spring Blast came out cream. About the only one that gives me a reliable show each year is Perry's Gold.

Very nice to see new pix of your plants, Ken. That goes not only for this thread, but the rest as well. Thanks.

ken, your property is gorgeous!

Wow Ken, Nice to see some recent shots of your pungens...we dont get back there much...please keep the pics coming. Looking good ! Thanks

Al

Those are gorgeous Ken! Love the Michigan back drop as well, it's what keeps us around, that is for sure!!!

"the light was perfect for the perrys pix.. by the time i got here ... not so great ..."
Are you slowing down, Ken?! Say it isn't so.
That's the first time I've seen some Hostas you always mention.
Nice trees for way out back. ;-)
