I love your kitchen! And will be back with drawer pull suggestions. That said, your space looks pretty modern. Maybe if you think the roosters down the space would look more modern. Declutter a bit. I actually like a lot of the cluttered look (in your space) but its just a bit over the top. Try a stainless dishwasher as well. Your stove is gorgeous BTW!

Okay. I thought about it and am back. :) Take everything out of your kitchen but your salt and pepper shaker collection and pot rack. As well as one item for the very corner of your counters and keep the owl on the upper ledge. Also the picture you have hanging can stay. I hate to take anyone's personality out of a space but you do want something that looks more modern. That's why we are keeping some items. Which will now have more impact. :) On the ledge and in the glass cupboards invest in all white dishes. All white. It will look more modern and less cluttered. Even though you won't lose the look of having "stuff" all white dishes, no matter how fancy or simp!e or mixmatched, will give the space a cohesive feeling. I also love your rug and would like to see something slightly larger to cover more floor space. Its really beautiful with the brick. I still the idea of a stainless dishwasher and the pulls look modern to me. Don't change those.

You can probably keep a couple of more knickknacks for the ledge than the cookie jar and white dishes. I can't see your whole collection to tell you what. Do you have more pictures? Maybe you could display a fun quote in a simple frame and something antique to keep that look you love. Littler things though. Nothing large.

Miranda, Dishwasher is stainless steel dishwasher, just doesn't show up that well. I don't think I want to go modern....thinking on the lines of more ranch/rustic. I do tend to collect..lol!! I definitely like your ideas. Thank you for some great suggestions!!

Oil rubbed bronze on you pulls will look great against that white .

Love your brickwork and stove. I suppose black iron, or oil rubbed bronze pulls would look really good. Part of me would want to play with the idea of glass, or even colorful stone or ceramic knobs for the upper doors...

Whatever hardware you decide to try. Try them out with your hands to see if they are comfortable prior to buying. I would go with oil rubbed bronze with finger grip pulls on drawers & largish knobs on doors. It definately will not need to match the faucet either. Great kitchen & stove. I love it.

You can get decent quality hardware on Amazon.com for a very reasonable price so if one type doesn't work out, it isn't that much to replace it.

I would run wood slats from the stove to the other cupboard horizontally and paint them white using the top of the stove as the ending point and covering the odd fireplace and some of the brick.I think the big stove is the focal point of the kitchen

This is pretty much the idea but only a quarter up the wall and I would use smaller width boards

I love vintage looking painted knobs, but you already have pulls so you would have to deal with filling the holes. I would do all different ones

You could even make it a cubby with wood and a shelf to put some of your owls on with a pop of color in the back. The cubby would need to be attached to the wood on the wall though and not to the actual fireplace. Like a cube just placed in there then the wood would go across. Hopefully that makes sense. It's hard to explain

No not all of it only about two feet up from the counter Just far enough to cover the fireplace. When I said the stove is the focal point I mean at this exact moment The brick is over shadowed by the fireplace black hole and the large black stove. By bringing some white up the wall and using a rug to bring all the colors together the black stove won't seem so jarring with the white cabinets and brick wall.

Wouldn't cover any of the brick or fireplace at all. They are both pretty cool! Instead clean the fireplace out and use it, it's very unique!
