Hi All, I got two dwarf lotus 'Beautiful Dancer,' and two bowl lotus 'Jennifer.' They were already sprouting. Started them indoors, and they did very well for a week. Then planted the two Beautiful Dancers in a half whiskey barrel outdoors and one Jennifer in a smaller container, near the barrels. Within in three days, the leaves started changing color to a lime green and browning. Please click on the link below to see the pictures.

Are these called leaf burns? I read in some earlier posts, that if pH is high, leaf burns will occur. I tested the water with the test tube kit (not the strip test) and found the evening pH to be 7. The midday temperature here in Baltimore, Maryland for the last few days is in the range of 75 F to 85 F. The plants receive about 5 hours of sun. The other Jennifer indoors is doing well, but growing very slowly.

Is this normal for these plants in the beginning, or are they dying? If this is not normal, what should I do to make them healthy or save them from dying? Any advice appreciated.
