Thank you, Ken, for all the helpful info. You're probably right, I should give up on it. Just will need to decide what to put in its place as it was to be a focal point on the left side of my garden. I remember when I purchased them, I was reading others who had said, they can be kept at their dwarf size with pruning, but I'm beginning to wonder if I was sold a bit of malarkey lol! I am in the Midwest (Cold zone 5) so do have some brutal winters but it would seem others in my neighborhood have nice blooming lilacs. They are in pretty much full sun all day long so I don't think that's an issue. I also never have fertilized them which sounds like a good thing? I will Google the info on rejuvenation and see what I find. When I do prune, I prune down a third/close to half the size of the plant so not sure if that's a problem. If so, I definitely will remove them as they just can't be that big at this site. I'm really just curious if I'm about the only person on earth who has this problem and what I can do about it lol Thanks again!

Move it to where you don't have to prune it and it will bloom.

Miss Kim IMHO has its best show every 2nd year. The off years are quite sparse. I suspect your pruning is also influencing this cycle and not for the better. Miss Kim isn't a big lilac...how small are you trying to keep it?

I've been trying to keep them about 3 feet tall. Me thinks it was poor planning on my part for the long haul. Part of the planning was for a small ornamental tree to be the focal point of this garden, but the trees keep dying lol Ive got a limelight hydrangea there now which is flourishing, but until it matures, the three Kims are now the focal point. It's got to be too harsh of pruning. It's the only thing I could be doing wrong from what I've read. Thanks all!

Willisquirrel...I am also in the Midwest. I planted 6 Miss Kim's in my yard a few years ago. The one that is in constant sun seems to bloom best of all of them. I too have had problems getting all of the to bloom. I only trim back very little but still does not seem to matter. The one that does bloom I trim more than the rest. So you are not alone!
