Help Choose Floor Kitchen not Clash LR Hardwood Floor

Re-doing my kitchen & downstairs bathroom. Already have wooden floor in Living Room & do not want floor to clash. Would like to keep same type floor in kitchen & bath. Bath access to pool area. Lots children, pets & entertaining. Do not want painted cabinets or too dark counter or floor. what type floor would be best?
