I have, but so many years ago, I don't remember much. And I wasn't 'collecting' succulents then.
I was hoping to go this year, it's on June 7 @ Allan Gardens Conservatory; only 1 day. I don't know if I can make it. I am sure you'll find some goodies there!

Yes, San Diego is Jeff's club. He has been honored with a lifetime membership for all his hard work over the years. I became a member at his urging many a year ago.

Aleobot - that's great I hope I'll run into some forum members while i'm there. I will certainly mention this forum with high regard.

The SF show is the same weekend. :-)

Andy- Just my luck. I'm leaving for San Fran on June 7th (that's the plan anyway) I'll only be there for 3 days. Is there a cactus & succulent place you can recommend to me?

Andy- I'll be driving up from SD it's about a 7 hour drive, which means 12 hours or more for me. (I drive like an old tourist). I will follow your suggestion on both places. I've heard of Flora Grubb so, I'll go there first. Thanks lots! Neil

Hi Neil, nice plants you have. Wish I could make the trek to San Diego, but muchas grande too far- I'm north of Lake Ontario near David and Rina...and to David re. Toronto C & S show- I was there last year, and going again this year. So, some tips and advice---Bring cash- liquidate as many belongings as you can if you have room for many new acquitions, you will need the cash. And speaking of cash there is no plastic transactions, if I recall, so 5's, 10's, 20's, Loonies, Toonies, ( plants are priced at even dollar #'s i.e. 4$, 5$, 6$, 12$ 21$, etc...- there is lots to buy).

And it may be too late, but start working out. Begin with lighter weights, then incease to your maximum ability---the crowd is ferocous, so you will need to be fit to compete with the c &s starved crowd. Ovaltine works too.

It's a beautiful place with lots of other demonstration gardens inside the greenhouses...and stay out of my way, I've been working out in anticipation :)
