how well lit is the room? I would not go darker if you have limited lighting. I am not sure what effect that you are drying to achieve, but currently the room looks very "greyed out". I'm not sure if that is due to the wall color or if it is the lighting. of course, this might be the effect that you want to achieve.

your couch and chairs on the other hand are quite vibrant. I like the combination of green and purple. They are rich colors. do you want your wall color to make them pop more? if so, I would go with a lighter color on the walls.

I would find a piece of art to go over your sofa.

I would lose the wrought iron piece by the couch. it is out of synch with the coffee table and side table, I think. I can't really see the side table, but it looks like it looks like it has metallic legs/base.

I would change out your pillows and I would place purple pillows or pillows that match your new wall color on the green chairs.

on the couch, I would use a green pillow instead of the blue pillow. you could add more pillows to the couch, but I would continue the contrast.

I will toss out an idea for a wall color and you can take it or leave it ---- a dark butter yellow.

have you thought about a rug for the room?

Thank you for the suggestions, the couch is not purple it is gray. Yes I need to change up the rug for sure..... I had a designer help me with the furniture. Never really finished the job so I am feeling stuck on a direction. Party of me wants to start totally over!!

If you can try to take pictures when you get a chance that show the true color of your pieces of your furniture because we can help you better knowing what colors we are dealing with. Don't be discouraged they are lovely pieces and it will all come together beautifully in the end.

you have nice pieces that are the right size for the space. I would not start over.

I will be curious to see what the room's color are.

Your furniture looks nice so don't give up. I'm also struggling with the colors as I'm seeing a purple couch and green chairs. I would try the sunburst over the sofa if the scale is right. It looks a little large for that wall if you're going to add curtains.

I would suggest a nice floor lamp next to the sofa, instead of the flower stand. A tripod lamp might look nice there. I like the walls color and your furniture. You need some art on your walls.

Thank you all..... The wall color is a light gray , I can't remember the Ben Moore color, maybe stonimgton gray? The couch is dark charcoal gray and the chains are a green mostly with hints of blue . I also have a wine cabinet in there I will take a picture and show you what that looks like .
