Why is it possible that if that one plant had the virus so would the others??? Have you had a thrips infestation recently?? That virus is only transmitted via thrips.
The second leaf, to me, looks like a cold water stain. And the first leaf looks like one that is starting to decline. How young is that leaf? Did you take it from near the crown or was it an outer leaf?

I agree with jonboyny. I'm not expert on it but doesn't look like thrips. You would know, you can see them and the damage they cause. Those spots could be mechanical damage(think that's what they call it, on orchids anyway)

Thanks LoveofBostons and Terri! I get so hyper paranoid when I'm tired. I was getting some things ready to send to someone, and I wanted to do it before I forgot... that's when I found the leaf... and started reading about that virus... and thus the panicky post above. I'll try to steer clear of such scary reading at midnight in the future!!

Oh Su, slow down,,,,your violets look just fine to me. Violets will get nicks and cuts and marks like your leaf, but that is a far cry from a virus.

You are as bad as me. I will watch a scary movie or read a scary book just before I go to sleep and can't figure out why everything is distorted!!

Your plants look ok. When I was new to the Forum and had built up a sizable collection, I also went through the same kind of scare. In attempting to educate myself, I read some articles. Then worried about the virus.
