Nnigrt is right...consider a small sofa or love seat with 2 chairs. You may even have some space to add in an interesting 3rd (small) accent chair, also for extra seating.

Any way that we can see more views of the space, ie all sides of the room plus a front view of the current sofa/love seat?

If the surrounding space allows, don't feel you need to stick to right angles. I love the more casual feel of living rooms where the furniture is at 45 degree angles, especially given that you seem to have three features: tv, fireplace and window.

Just to get a better idea of your style, I looked at your ideabook....is this picture representative of the overall look you'd like to have in this space? Style, colors, etc.?

If so, and now knowing the dimensions of your space, I think that a sectional like this (same or similar style, size/scale) would look fabulous here (but with it configured in the "mirror" image).

I like your big windows too but I think to help maximize the space in the room, utilizing the window wall space may be necessary especially if you'd like to create more seating while keep the TV and fireplace areas more as your focal points.

Btw, am I assuming correctly that you'd like to keep those areas as focal points?

Couple more questions so I can try to put together more accurate layout ideas:

Approximately how wide is the fireplace? In other words, how far off the TV wall does it protrude?

Approximately how wide is the window? (It's pretty much centered on that wall also, correct?)

Is that a fixed/built in piece/credenza behind the sofa currently and/or are you planning on keeping it there? And if so, how deep is it approximately? If you're not sure about its size, no worries....we can guess on that for now.

Thanks again Avery. This is a new forum for me so I need to add to my idea book. My style is more colorful and eclectic but still simple. I married a minimalist. I'll answer best I can without being in the space: fireplace prob comes out at least 5ft from the wall. Large window is 8ft and centered. That large cabinet is not built in and it will definitely go away.

The high window is approx. 6.5ft L.

No loveseat, please. Sofa and two chairs are much more adaptable to your arranging needs. If you are a real fan of sectionals look at flex ones that are just a sofa with a chaise that can be reversed from left to right when you want to change things a bit.
