Piggybacking on my own question, it seems that most instead have Saybrook Gold. How similar are they to Gold lace? I assume they're a little more gold from what I can tell, and maybe shorter.

juniper (post)

doke , funny you should post about this,,,look at end of my post

is this one ?

That looks too short and gold to be a Gold Lace, in my option.

juniper is rather easy to root .. in the right season ... right wood... etc ...

though the long way ... its the for sure way to get an exact duplicate ...

have you searched all our favored mail order vendors??? ..

and BTW ... use the proper latin for searching... it really matters ...

note the search term ...

I prefer to get them at a local nursery since I won't have to get them small or pay high shipping costs. I'm surrounded by excellent nurseries that usually have everything and they are saying that they don't understand why the big places like Monrovia aren't sending them out either. Apparently a lot of people are asking for them but nobody has them around here. It's odd because they are usually pretty popular.

I ended up buying three 3 gallon plants from Gardener Direct. With shipping $150 total. But at least I have them now.

==>>> probably something along the lines of decisions made ... 5 to 7 years back ... and flooding the market with the same plant for too long ...

new plants.. new prices .. etc ...

i am not familiar with gardener direct.. i hope it works out for you ... looks like you hit the lotto on such .. unless of course... you did the same first .:
