Can cord length be modified?

Absolutely LOVE this pendant. I want it to hang over my counter height table, but the ceiling is only 8 ft high. Therefore, the cord would need to hang only about 18-20 inches. Can my contractor modify the cord to that length?

    It can be adjusted by cutting or we can make the cord in 20 inches as your request.

    Hi Sue,

    The lamp departed USPS facility in CA International Distribution Center on Aug. 29th and it is currently in transit to the destination. The expected delivery date is Aug. 30th.

    I knew it should have been delivered by Aug. 27th and I apologize for this delay and any inconveniences this may have caused you.
