If you're speaking of Sherwin Williams Fawn Brindle SW7640 it is a beautiful neutral. The depth of the color and your liking it are completely subjective and also depends upon your lighting in that space. The SW website has a room visualizer whereby you can upload a photo of your foyer and see the color in your room. Additionally, you can also buy a small pint of any color at a SW store for a nominal fee and either put a swatch on the wall; or paint a foam core board, for example, if you're not sure if you're going to paint the space right away!
