Staircase dimensions?

I'm not interested in specific design details as I understand this is custom. I am interested in some information regarding the steel as you can't see much from the photo. It looks like it may be an I-beam wherein the web has been cut to create the rise/run to support the treads. Is this in fact the case or am I looking at it wrong?
