What is your lifestyle? How many would you like to be able to seat daily? Is this the only living space and do you have a dining space available elsewhere? Do you like to entertain? How many children and age? Do you need storage solutions?

You have numerous options. I have a cream leather sofa and red accents. Blues are great, as are turquoise, yellow and greys. I would choose my accent colors, additional furniture for the room (dining, cabinets, chairs) before doing anything with the walls. Give us some more info on additional furniture and what accent colors YOU would like to see in the room. You can keep the room neutral with major pieces of furniture and bring in color with rugs, an accent chair, pillows and art, but your major pieces of furniture should be chosen first.
