With the development of superior urethane adhesives over the last couple of decades... the result is having excellent adhesion, which translates to: "make sure you like it, because it's a bear to remove it".

There are, however, companies who specialize in removal of products such as yours as well as tile which has been installed and later regretted.

The equipment is costly to purchase, maintain & operate... so the charges are typically in the 2-3 buck a foot range to have it done professionally.

That may sound like an unreasonable proposition... but let me assure you, it's usually worth the expense.

Example: several years ago we had a customer who wanted to remove ceramic tile from the home in order to have us install hardwood flooring. Being a staunch believer in the DIY process, the homeowner opted to do it himself, rather than consider my recommendation.

Two weeks and twenty one stitches (slice to the left hand)... he admitted he had bitten off more than he could chew.

The equipment used by the "pro's" is designed to basically scrape/slice the flooring material at the concrete (assuming that's what you're working over).

The alternative "jack hammer" approach is bone tiring, time consuming, and often does more damage to the concrete than what you want.

You might try looking into a company who is set up to perform the operation... they are usually listed under "demolition"...
