There is a great book from Paul Duescherrer(sp) called "Outside the Bungalow". It is a companion book to his "American Bungalow" and "Inside the Bungalow". Available from Amazon for as little as $13.00. It covers a range of landscaping ideas for historic bungalow gardens. I seem to recall that there is also a book called "Bungalow Gardens". Need to check on that.

I'm not sure what's not to like about your current plantings? On our last bungalow home, we just did LOTS of roses. Yours is a more varied set of species and plenty of color. Are you after more period type species? Much of that depends on your climate zone...and I'm no gardener!
