almost any color will work. i would go with a rich green.

a picture of the window would help make the decision a little easier. Do you change out pillow often. I see a blue very nice pillow. Does that remain does the arrangement get changed out if so go with a print to give a pop to the basics. If you change out pop your pillows and arrangements and add color but simple color to the end of your sheers. As suggested above use a green, a beige or even blues

I would work off the blue in your pillow. It's a vibrant color and would tie your color scheme together. Or go for an opposite like this rust mix. All these at Overstock.com.

My first instinct was to go with a rust color like the color of the vase on your table. A navy blue would also look great. I would say Dianes suggestions are spot on!

What is the view outside the window? It can be nice to use one of the outside colours as an accent colour inside. I love the idea of green, especially if you have trees or grass outside. A pop of fresh, spring green would be light and breezy. Blues would be beautiful - think various shades of sky. Or the colour of favourite flowers - pinks, oranges, blues, etc.

Hi, Your room looks great. I love your style a lot, it looks very similar to mine ;) ...I am currently using teal colored panels that I bought from JCPenney, and really like the contrast. I have similar furnishings, leather sofa, silver and mercury glass accessories and black and white accents as well. It works great and feels well put together.

I kept searching and found them...Here is the page for the ones in the color I am using. Simple but elegant in a simple unfussy way. They hang great and are a bit sheer but not see through, and look great when the sun filters through as well.

something like this (JoAnn's Fabrics) would add a pop of color, then hang a large print over the sofa that is vibrant (and has a little yellow in it)

A big floral would look great! They also tend to have lots of colors, so you would be able to pull out different colors with your accents over the years.

You could use almost any color, so think about what colors you have in adjoining rooms, so it flows or at least coordinates with your whole house.

I love your blue ikat pillow. Gives brightness to your leather sofa. I like the way you styled your coffee table too. Very nice. (drapes in peacock blue in a crushed velvet texture or satin-ee shimmer that puddle to floor perhaps) blue and brown is such a nice combination, gender neutral too.

With the colors you have in your room, you could use just about any other color. My eye first went to the blue and white pillow on your sofa. But I do like the idea of green also. You need to click on the pictures to actually see my suggestions. I'm not sure why it cut off the side.

The green gives it a clean airy look at the same time combining with the natural element of leather. Replace blue and black pillow with one that picks up the curtain. Also try changing the lamp shades to coordinate with the feel of the room and adding a small piece of green with brown gem stone or large paperweight on the books.

I would suggest a bright color, white with blue (light or royale) details.

Bright yellow and white in a chevron pattern - if that's too much pattern do white / cream curtains and use the yellow chevron on the leading edge.

go for a nice blue geometric pattern to add some visual stimulus to the room, you have a lovely blue floral cushion on the sofa, would be great to use this blue when choosing your drapery, without copying it, it will tie everything together. Something similar to this

I prefer a crisp white or light silver. How about wood toned blinds, either slatted or pull up?

don't do a geometric, it's too trendy, there is a huge investment in drapery, spend your dollars on quality, your room is timeless, do something that is step with the room. You can easily change out a trendy pillow! BeenAroundtheBlock has some excellent suggestions.

You seem to have invested a lot in your throw pillows so I would feed off the blue in the pillows. It does not have to be a "matchy" color. A solid with white banding to pick up on the white in your sheers would work great!

want contrast...the fuscia pallette...deep bright rich....or play off the blue in the sofa pillow for a more discrete...or a light blue for softening yet adding color...

Why not try a punch of a fun color in a tailored panel or sheer. Orange and brown are great together. If that is too bold, I am loving the soft yellows out now, in fact you can add that same touch of color with a rug too even if it is on a carpet.
