Rain Bird Timers

I have a Rain Bird ISM Timer that was already in the house when I bought it. The dial and buttons are difficult to use because of the age and use of the unit along with the heat in the garage. Can I change the sprinkler timer to a Rain Bird ESP timer?

switching timers is a fairly simple process. the most complicated part is tagging the station wires so they can be plugged into the new timer in the proper order. connecting the pigtail for the new timer is also a simple job as the wires will be color coded, just make sure everything is unplugged before starting.
