We are in the process of picking stone for our kitchen countertops and love the look of marble (calcite caribica to go with a cobalt blue Viking stove and medium walnut cabinets) but I am worried about having to be obsessed with cleaning, sealing and preventing stains. Anyone have experience with marble in their kitchen? Does it hold it okay, ie is it really noticeably softer than granite?
