I have worked on creating my dream kitchen for over a year now. I thought that I took all the right steps. I hired a kitchen designer and have the overall layout of the kitchen that we want. We then found a kitchen appliance and cabinet dealer who we have worked with to choose appliances and cabinets to spec's. We paid and ordered all of our appliances and then problem after problem presents itself with the cabinets. I am so lost now, I wanted a contemporary kitchen that was still family friendly. The dealer suggested going with Bellmont Cabinets, and we choose the door style Strata in Sculpted Storm and black for the finishes. We still needed to find a accent cabinet for over the stove. Well after months and months of work to see if Bellmont cabinets could work to fit the sizes in our design... Change after change made because they could not make the cabinets that long or wide, etc. We are then told (after many months) by the rep that the cabinets sides have a brushed aluminum. He did not realize that was the only choice and that would not work with the design of our kitchen. There would be random places that the brushed aluminum would show... Not the sight I imagined for our dream kitchen.

So now I am back to the beginning and simply do not know what route to go. I now know that not all kitchen cabinet distributers work will all cabinet makers. Since it has been a year since we designed our kitchen, I don't want to make more mistakes.

Can someone please provide some guidance with choosing our cabinets? Help Us!
