Great question, we actually have a product that is specifically made for this purpose and its inexpensive. It goes over all edges of the mirror and the mirror clips. This frame has a very strong adhesive which attaches to the mirror. I believe there are over 60 frame designs to select from. It's also a very easy install. This does save the huge expense of having the wall repaired and you won't have to buy a new mirror.

I would avoid mirror mates brand. Quality is not there...mitered corners don't fit together and end up looking cheap.

Thanks! Because of the tile surround that we are removing, we won't be attaching the wood to the mirror itself, but to the wall where the tile was. Would the adhesive on the internet-order surround be appropriate to attach to drywall or will it separate?Besides a Finish carpenter, I'm wondering if designers put the task to their cabinet makers or anyone else?
