Need help with deciding island cabinet colour

Hi I'm having some kitchen reno's done. My cabinets are staying which are a high gloss white foil. The counter tops will be Quartzform Whistler (white) and so will the island top. Is it best to do the cabinets for my island in a completely different color/wood if I can't match exactly. Please help! My floors are a hickory laminate, which has grey, brown and light maple color.

Hi. It's so much bigger now as I had my kitchen wall which was curved and filled with glass blocks removed. Any suggestion for colors? I'm painting Grey Owl Benjamin Moore. Thank you

Different colour islands are a current trend and add a depth and richness to your room. Grey tones are extremely hot right now as is white on white. You are on the right track to a beautiful kitchen. Be sure to post the final result! Grey Owl from Benjamin Moore is one of our favourites as is Moonshine and Wickham Gray from the same colur palette. Great choices you are making. Have fun

I will suggest you use island color base on natural Walnut with light grey stain.

Natural walnut has beautiful wood flower but it has brown- red inside. If you add the light grey stain on top. It will immersed with the rest of room color.
If you are renovation the house in Vancouver area, you are welcome to stop by in ILK showroom to see the color. However this grey stain is not Merit kitchens standard house store color, so you can not find it from their website, you have to stop by at I Love Kitchens to check the color detail by yourself.
I hope it will will help.

Awww thank you so much. I have already hired a cabinet maker for my island but he's having trouble getting the color that I want, I'm wanting a grey but I can't find a wood sample to show him. So I'm a bit stuck lol.
