Any decent range in that width (and they are certainly less common than a 30", 36, or even a 48") will (and probably should be) at least $5,000. Even a good 36" should be about that price. Dual fuels will usually cost more, but not a significant amount (in terms of %) more.

Hi Blue Bridge, thanks for writing. If I stick with a 36 duel fuel, do you have a recommended make or model? I don't want to cheap out, but I don't want to spend a fortune for an extra few inches of work space because the space in the cabinets just happens to be there.

It depends on how serious of a cook you are. I like the Bertazzoni. It has a pretty attractive price point in my area (Canadian West Coast). I'm not sure what pricing is like where you are though. I'd also recommend Jenn Air Professional or Kitchenaid.

Thanks. We are pretty serious but occasional cooks. We cook 1 meal at home per day, and we have a big meal with 10-15 people once per month. Sometimes, it's Indian cooking with 5-6 burners going at once :)
