Rhododendron Help Needed

Greetings,

I had a perfectly healthy Rhododendron, which was in a large container that got broken about 2 weeks ago. So I was had to replant it (into the garden) even though its not the best time of year to do so. The rootball wasn`t damaged, I heeled it well into the ground & kept it watered, but it still appears to be dying.

It was very bushy, with lots of new growth & buds, now its leaves are all hanging down and mostly drying up, it looks very sad.... Like me :(((

I don`t know what to do to save it, should I prune it back? If so, How far? Or should I just leave it or dig it up again? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I would hate to lose it.

Thanks.
