I would guess that the root ball dried out and is not getting wet when you water it. Your best effort would be to dig it up, soak it in water and replant it. Make sure there are no circling roots. Extend any peripheral roots out into the surrounding soil. If you can't extend them out into the soil, then cut them so they don't strangle the other roots. Plant slightly higher than it was in the pot. Make sure it has good drainage in the new location. The root ball should be quite heavy when you plant it so you know the roots are well moistened. Don't overwater. In hot weather, root rot is a problem if the roots are kept too wet. If the plant is wilted in the morning it needs watering. If it is wilted in the heat of the day, it is normal and may recover by morning.

Thankyou sooo much, I will go & do that now, I hope its not too late, as even though the leaves are still green, they are pretty dry *fingerscrossed* :)

Sadly it seems I was too late to save it, all the leaves continued to dry & are now all curled up and pretty much paper. The buds are soft, no longer firm, though they haven`t dried out yet, I guess they soon will. :(

My question now is, how dead is a dead Rhodie? Should I just leave it alone and see if it every gets any new growth? Should I prune it? Is there still any hope that it will make a comeback or is it doomed?
