I can't compare the linen sheets because I do have the Rough Linen, but I have bought RH linen tablecloths. They are okay, but not as substantial as my RL tablecloths and sheets. I have added to my sets in bits and pieces after splurging on the RL summer bed set. One thing I can say about Trish's RL products is that I expect them to last forever-well at least long enough for my son and daughter-in-law to inherit them. :)

Additionally, I received one item (summer cover) that had an almost imperceptible miswoven spot and they replaced it. I probably wouldn't even have noticed it had I not ironed it (I know, I know, I am supposed to embrace the rumpled look. Sigh). I told them that, too. They were profuse in apologies and sent a bread bag with my replacement. Lovely. I meant to write a proper thank you note, but ... So, maybe you can put together a set over time. I think it is well worth it if you know you like linen sheets.

Can we just buy the linen fabric somewhere and hem to make our own? I don't know why I am so intrigued by these sheets, I usually shy away from any sheets that cost more than $40

I don't see any reason why you couldn't make your own linen sheets. If you sew well all you would need to do is finish it. Look for a high quality linen.

beteacher... Fabric is usually 48" or 54" wide. You'll have to piece it together to make a sheet wide enough for a bed.

Correction. I just located a business that has linen 160" wide, but it's a wholesale site and prices aren't posted. I may check into it further. Looks like beautiful quality. www.ulsterlinen.com.

I’ve purchaed 2 sets of the Shabby Chic linen cotton blend sheets at target. They only come in one color, a sort of dull robin’s egg blue, but they aren’t bad. Think I paid around $50 for queen size. After a few washings, one top sheet has a small hole. I’m currently looking to buy a good set, in white, but don’t want to spend much more than $200. Hard to decide, with all the options out there.
