Can you provide a picture so we understand what you mean by arch way?

i am installing wood and i have two archways. the archways go into my kitchen and kitchen nook, 20x20 tile is installed in the kitchen and kitchen nook in a brick pattern. one of the arches the wood will bud up to the transition on a 45 degree angle and the other arch it will bud up straight. I want the arches to have the same transitions. what is the best way to transition? the wood are 5 inch planks.

Thank you. That helps a lot. It makes sense & confirms our decision. Also, one more question. The arches have bullnose corners. We are going to have two different baseboards. On the tile side we are putting tile baseboards and on the wood side we are putting 3.5 inch wood trim baseboards. Where do we end the tile bullnose corners in the kitchen? On the tile side of the bullnose, where should it start? In other words, should the wood baseboard continue & curve over to the other bullnose corner and then start the tile baseboard? Or, stop the wood baseboard right before the other bullnose begins & begin tile baseboard at the bullnose? Does this make sense? I hope this makes sense.

Sorry I am not following. Maybe a little hand sketch would help. We don't use tile baseboards so not something I am familiar with. We use wooden baseboards everywhere.

I don't have one. If you're standing in the middle of the arch but looking down at one side of casting, and you put the wood plank inside of the arch, where do I stop the wood trim? Before the bullnose corner & start the tile bull nose corner or allow the wood bullnose Corner to continue then start the tile border. Each side of casting has a bullnose corner. But remember on the tune side is gonna be tile base boards. On the wood side is wood baseboards and my arches are bull-nosed.
