Nothing in the Concord NH area. Friend staying on the Cape said things were fine there, too.

The nasty weather stayed just to the north and south of us - some light rain and winds and distant thunder but nothing severe here in the southern part of Plymouth, MA.

The NOAA weather radio was shouting most of the afternoon (and I'm grateful for it) but I'm really glad the tornado warning didn't happen.

I have no major damage in my garden. Some plants flattened and bedraggled by the force of the wind and rain, bu that's it. We had some pretty wild weather here, but in relatively short bursts - 10 to 15 minutes and things had moved on. No major things in my immediate area, but reports of "microbursts" in some of the surrounding towns, and co-workers were slowed down on their rides home by trees down on the parkway, blocking the road.

I was driving home in the middle of all this (had tried to beat it home; should have stayed in work an extra 20 minutes to let it pass, lol) and pulled over in a city parking lot for a few minutes. Wasn't worried about the driving, per se, but I live in a fairly heavily wooded area, and was worried about a tree falling on me as I drove by! Figured I'd wait it out in a parking lot downtown with no trees instead of driving under trees!

I did wonder about some really small branches in the middle of the road in the downtown area of one of the towns I drive through - there's not a single tree on this stretch of road! They cut down all the pear trees lining this road last year (adding to the sad depressed look of this struggling town) so I had to wonder where the heck the branches were coming from, lol. Must have been some pretty hard winds to have branches downtown!

Sunday my parents in Southeast Massachusetts had a huge, apparently healthy branch come down.
