this seems like a place for a barn door. i dislike them on bathrooms because they dont give privacy,but since you already have a door to your toilet it wouldnt be such a big deal to have a barn door to your vanity area. only you know if you can spare the space on one side or the other.

another choice is a split french door, so there is only half as much door opening/blocking either side.

It's a load bearing wall, which makes the pocket door more expensive. The barn door idea is great but part of my reason for adding a door is to block the noise. We're on different schedules.

I've wondered about a split french door. That wouldn't block as much on either side.
