do you really think it's glass tile? i thought not! especially looking above the window. looks like ceramic tile to me, but i have no idea what brand.

I agree with you and do NOT think that it is glass tile. I think that it's a polished ceramic/porcelain tile. Sadly, I have no idea what line! I would look into Sonoma Tile or Walker Zanger since they both have handmade looking lines. Wish I could be more help!

Didn't see it on Walker Zanger's site, but that may be my oversight. If you find out, please post the name. I would love to find some tile with these subtle shade variations that is not a mosaic.

nope, i decided against it and went with something else, less shiny/flashy. i do like it, whatever it is, in this kitchen pictured, but my kitchen has even more light and would have been way too shiny and detracted from my countertops which i wanted the focus on. i have almost the same cabinets/hardware, stove, hood, floor, but my countertop is way lighter so i went with a slightly darker backsplash for contrast. i just went to local tile shops and found exactly what i needed. it's funny how much your ideas change during a remodel. plus, how it looks in this pictured kitchen is not necessarily how it will look in your kitchen. i found you just gotta try a lot of samples and look at them in your space with your lighting and paint. good luck to you!
